Kids and Home Safety

You know it is important to teach our kids about fire prevention. School teaches kids that they should drop and roll, or how to make an escape plan. Is there any more your kids should know... I believe so.

Every house should have a Emergency Supply kit. Here is what you shouldhave in your kit:
- Water - 1 gallon per person per day (min. three days)
- Food - enough for three days (non-perishable)
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- First aid kit
- Whistle to signal for help
- Dust air (to filter the contaminated air)
- Moist towelettes, garbage bags
- Wrench and pliers
- Can opener for food
- Local map
- cell phone with chargers

This is something that you and your whole family can be involved in. You can make one of the kids in charge of collecting the above items and have the other kid locate the placement for the emergency supply kit.

GOOD LUCK!
